BGM AFD
.AVIATION /07Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
High pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern,
bringing clear skies and very light to calm winds across all
terminals tonight. VFR conditions are expected at
ITH/BGM/AVP/SYR/RME through the TAF period.
ELM will have a chance for IFR/LIFR conditions this morning as
fog is expected to develop in the river valley for a short
period of time right before sunrise. Satellite images are
showing some fog development in north-central PA, which should
make its way through the river valleys up to ELM. It is a tricky
forecast with dewpoints dropping while the temp drops. The
crossover temp is about 50 degrees, and we should see that for a
couple hours right before sunrise. If the dewpoints hold near
50, we should be able to get a brief period of restrictions
before the sun burns it off.
Outlook...
Saturday night through Monday...VFR expected. Humidity may rise
high enough for early morning valley fog formation Sat night
and Sun night.
Tuesday and Wednesday...scattered showers and thunderstorms and
associated restrictions possible.
