High pressure will drift east of the area today, allowing for
southerly flow to develop. A few gusts to around 20 knots will
be possible area-wide during the afternoon. VFR conditions will
continue to prevail. A marine layer will start pushing in from
the southeast early Thursday morning, but any restrictions
possible with this will hold off until after the forecast
Thursday through Thursday night...Marine layer may bring MVFR
ceilings to AVP in the morning. Also, occasional restrictions
will be possible in rain showers, especially during the
afternoon and overnight hours.
Friday...Occasional restrictions possible in some lingering rain
showers, especially in the morning.
Friday night through Saturday...Scattered lake effect snow
showers with associated restrictions, mainly at the Central NY
Sunday...Restrictions possible mainly at SYR and RME with lake
effect snow showers.
