BGM AFD
.AVIATION /08Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
VFR conditions expected across the region through the TAF
period. It seems like strong low level winds just above the
surface will once again limit fog development across the area
tonight. Fog that was forecast for ELM has been removed given
the strong winds above the surface and similar conditions last
night kept the fog at bay. There is a slight chance we could see
some quick fog development early in the morning between 10-12z
as the winds above the surface calm down. The question is will
we get cooling to occur quickly enough to generate fog before
the sun is able to warm the surface. Guidance shows very low
chances of this occurring and does not agree on timing of the
winds weakening, therefore confidence was not high enough to
include IFR fog in the ELM TAF.
